Dr. Hemanth Vupputuri is an experienced Neurosurgeon trained in advanced Neurosurgical procedures. He completed his MBBS from Guntur Medical College with several gold medals. He completed USMLE and was ECFMG certified for clinical practice in the USA soon after college. He completed his MS General Surgery from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. During this time he won Best poster award at national level in ASICON 2014 and Best research paper award at National level in ASICON 2015.
After completing his training in General surgery, he joined MCh Neurosurgery at the world renowned Christian Medial College, Vellore. He completed his training with several research laurels and worked as an Assistant Professor in the same institute. During this period he won the best paper award at the state level, twice in 2017 and 2019 for his research.
Owing to his excellence in his field, he was selected for International Surgical Training Program of the Royal College of Surgeons, England in 2020. He completed a fellowship in complex, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery in the UK during which period he performed close to 1000 surgical procedures.
He was trained in most advanced Robotic spine surgery as well. Following this he was awarded the prestigious Neurooncology Fellowship at Walton Centre, Liverpool , UK; which is one of the best hospitals for Neurosciences in Europe. He did exceptional research during this period including working on FUTURE -GB clinical trail, besides performing nearly 1200 surgeries.
He presented his research at the British Neurooncology Society Conference in 2022. He was featured as one of the best and upcoming Neurosurgeons on British Neurooncology Society spotlight magazine.
Dr. Hemanth is an expert at performing brain tumor surgeries, using advanced equipment like Neuronavigation and performing brain, spine surgeries through an endoscope.
He was invited as Faculty at NSICON 2022 to speak at the Young Neurosurgeons Forum. Despite a very promising career in the UK, he moved back to India, with an aim to provide advanced Neurosurgical care to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
